Why Wild Mountain

From the Bow Valley to your new beginning.

We are your immigration consultant in the heart of the Rockies, based in Canmore. We live and work in the mountains we love, and we bring that same steadiness, honesty and care to every client's journey to Canada. No false promises. Just a licensed team that treats your file like it's our own.

The Bow Valley

Your immigration consultant in Canmore

Canmore runs on tourism. The hotels, restaurants, ski hills and tour operators that keep the town moving rely on workers who arrive on temporary permits, hoping to build a permanent life in the Rockies. As your immigration consultant in Canmore, we turn a work permit that could quietly expire into a clear, planned route to permanent residence.

Based right here in the Bow Valley, we know the local labour market and the Alberta streams built around it. For Canmore's tourism and hospitality workers, the Alberta Tourism & Hospitality Stream is often the most direct path to a provincial nomination. For others it's Express Entry, the wider Alberta AAIP, a work permit or family sponsorship. We assess every route honestly and build the one that actually fits.

Nicola went above and beyond to assist me with my PR application. She was always readily available to answer questions and give advice, and it made the whole process so much easier. Nicola is amazing. She is very knowledgeable in spousal sponsorship and PR. She is a great listener and stays updated with the changes. After consulting with her, all my doubts were clarified. I highly recommend Wild Mountain Immigration for your immigration needs.

I came to Nicola when things were toughest, out of status with expired paperwork. She calmed me down and walked me through everything, the work permit, then the PNP, then PR. She always kept me updated and answered every question, no matter how small. After a few months I had my work permit, my nomination and my invitation to apply for PR. More than worthy, her work and the price are well deserved.

I would absolutely recommend Nicola and her team for anything immigration in Canada.

This was the most invaluable service before submitting my PR application. Nicola checked everything thoroughly and sent detailed feedback. There were so many things I had missed or done incorrectly, which I was able to change before submitting, and meant I had no problems and got my PR through in record time. It is worth all the money in the world to know it is all done correctly.

I could write a book about Nicola and how she supported my applications for my kids' citizenship. Her attention to detail and patience was endless, guiding me and reminding me what needs to be done. You can tell she genuinely cares about this work. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

FAQ

Questions, answered honestly

Get started
Are you an immigration consultant in Canmore?

Yes. Wild Mountain Immigration is a CICC-regulated immigration consultancy based in Canmore, Alberta, in the heart of the Bow Valley. We help Canmore and Bow Valley clients, including the town's tourism and hospitality workers, move from work permits to permanent residence through routes like the Alberta Tourism & Hospitality Stream, Express Entry and the wider AAIP. All of our work is done online by video call and phone, so you don't need to visit an office.

Do I really need an immigration consultant, or can I apply myself?

You can apply yourself, but Canadian immigration is detailed and unforgiving of small mistakes, and a single error can cost you months or a refusal. As a licensed RCIC, Nicola builds the strongest possible application and flags issues before they become problems. We also offer a lower-cost File Review tier if you'd rather do the work yourself and have an expert check it.

What is an RCIC and how do I know you're licensed?

An RCIC is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, licensed and governed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). Nicola Wightman's licence number is R706497, and you can verify her standing on the CICC public register at any time, we encourage it.

Do I have to live in Canmore to work with you?

Not at all. We're based in Canmore, Alberta and love working with clients across the Bow Valley and Calgary, but we represent clients right across Canada and around the world remotely, by video call and phone.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your case and the service you choose: full File Management, where we handle everything from start to finish, or our lower-cost File Review, where you prepare your own application and our RCIC checks it before you submit. We set out clear, fixed-scope fees in writing up front, so there are never any surprises.

What's the difference between File Management and File Review?

File Management is full service, we handle every form, document and submission for you. File Review is a lower-cost option where you prepare your own application and Nicola reviews it for errors and missed opportunities before you submit.

Which provinces and programs do you cover?

All of them (except Quebec). We handle federal Express Entry, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), the BC PNP and other provincial nominee programs, family and spousal sponsorship, Super Visas, work and study permits, and citizenship, guiding you to the route that best fits your goals.
